Stylish House in Bucharest Receives Practical and Contemporary Additions
"The Modern Style Amiral House" was built in the 40s and is located in Bucharest. The building was recently turned into a welcoming house by Noblesse Interiors.
The spaces in the house have been used intelligently, creating a functional and practical home.
"The house has Brâncovenesc influences on the outside and on the inside, we opted for a practical and contemporary style fitted with the latest technology." the architects explained.
On the old stove’s structure was built a bioethanol fireplace that brings a comforting touch to the house. For the cladding of the fireplace and the ceiling, the architects used vintage-inspired ceramics that look spectacular with the LED strip lighting.
The airy spaces were specially created by using a natural color palette and areas delineated by pieces of furniture, each with its well-defined utility.
Each room has been designed differently to meet the expectations of all the family members actively involved in the accomplishment of their dream.
The kitchen is a modern and fresh space while the living room, the dining room, the bathrooms, the hallways and the staircase areas were restored with wood on the floors as well as for the furniture in order to give warmth and intimacy to the rooms.
Precious finishes such as brass and gold were discreetly introduced in the design lightings, mosaic, and decorations.
The master bedroom is dominated by warm shades of cream and brown, as the owners wished for an intimate and neutral space with soft and comfortable textures.
The basement was the biggest challenge of this renovation. It involved significant consolidation and waterproof works, experiencing a major transformation. The basement houses an industrial-vintage home cinema that became the favorite area of the house.
