A celebration of the Victorian conviviality of Charles Dickens

“May we never want a friend in need, nor a bottle to give him!”

–Captain Cuttle in Dombey and Son

Join the Free Library’s Charles Dickens Ambassador Edward Pettit for an evening of conviviality in Dickensian style. Bars will be serving Victorian drinks featured in the novels, actors will read some of Dickens’s funniest drinking scenes, and we’ll raise many a toast to the memory of Boz. Come ready with a toast and join the fun. A different performance on every date, so come to them all!

Evenings run from 7 – 9 p.m. Come before 7, have dinner, and then settle in for the night!
