The first event of the Dickens Bicentenary celebration at the Free Library of Philadelphia is on Wednesday, January 11 at 7:30PM.  Richard Bravo, President and Chairman of The Philadelphia Pickwick Club, will speak about Dickens’ first great novel, The Posthumous Papers of the Pickwick Club.

Bravo is an actor, director and all-round gadabout, specializing in significant characters including Mr. Pickwick and Benjamin Franklin.  This will be a real treat.

If you enjoy Dickens and have a Pickwickian spirit, this is an event you won’t want to miss.  More info at the FLP’s Year of Dickens Events page.

The event is free.  We ask only that you register at Eventbrite.
